Welcome

I am an Associate Professor of Economics in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics at the University of Memphis. I specialize in applied microeconomics. My recent work examines the broad impact of public health policies, including Medicaid and medical marijuana laws, on crime, education, and the labor market. I also serve as Director of the Methodist Le Bonheur Center for Healthcare Economics.

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Louisiana State University. I also hold a master's degree in finance and a bachelor's degree in mathematics.
